Baked Beans and Slowcooker Rolls

one success and one fail: a short update on the 52 Things in 2022 project.

In an attempt to get to my goal of actually doing things that I have pinned in Pinterest I did two things yesterday.
Maple Baked Beans
Slow Cooker Dinner Rolls

an image of baked beans in a pan and of unbaked bread rolls in a slow cooker.

I’m not going to re-write the recipes here because only one of the two was a success and why re-type something that works right?
So first the fail: dinner rolls in a slow cooker. I don’t know if it was my yeast or if the method really doesn’t work but I ended up with just small little dough balls. So Im glad I tried it but won’t be doing it again.

The success was the Maple Baked Beans. The recipe is from Recipe Rebel and I wouldn’t change anything in the recipe. It was easy to follow and I like it. A few notes: I like my beans to be a bit softer so added some cook time (an extra 15 minutes), I also covered with tin foil “to avoid splatter” for the first 30 minutes but wouldn’t worry about it next time.
